Many of Greece’s accountants are Crooks

The purpose of this report is to present a detailed account of incidents that occurred while Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ, an accountant,  was acting in a professional capacity during my tenancy of a rental property. The following information describes the events as I personally experienced them and the issues I encountered during my interactions with Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ.

1. On 13 June 2018, when I signed the contract in Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ’s office for the rental property, Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ and the landlord, Ε. Π., asked me to pay six months in advance. The total was 1,620 EUR, which I paid in the presence of Ε. Π., Φ. ΤΡΕΜΑΚΗΣ from Real Estate One, and ΒΙΚΤΩΡΙΑ from Real Estate One. Φ. ΤΡΕΜΑΚΗΣ counted the money, then Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ counted it and gave it to Ε.
   I asked Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ for a receipt, but Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ refused to provide one. After a few days, I asked again for the receipt for 1,620 EUR, but Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ refused to issue the receipt.

2. Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ did not give me a receipt for the money I paid to Φ. ΤΡΕΜΑΚΗΣ from Real Estate One. It was 270 EUR for the rental property listing from their website. Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ claimed that she had no connection with Real Estate One. However, they were in Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ office, and they said that Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ must issue the receipt. I do not have any receipt for the 270 EUR. Real Estate One and Φ. ΤΡΕΜΑΚΗΣ refuse to provide one.

3. Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ conspired with the landlord, Ε., and Α. Δ. to extort 287 EUR from me—an unpaid electricity debt left by the previous tenant. I went to the Public Power

Corporation (ΔΕΗ) twice, and they refused to write off the debt. I informed Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ immediately about the problem.

On 16 October 2019, around 14:00, electricity was disconnected from my flat. I suspect this was done by Α. Δ. or his son. They disconnected a cable connected to the electricity meter with the number 732161. The meter box was damaged, and the wire was pulled out from the meter. No one had any reason to damage the meter. I contacted the Public Power Corporation, and they told me it was not them.

On 21 November 2019, I went to Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ office because Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ told me to come the day before. Ε. Π. and Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ screamed at me to go to the Public Power Corporation to transfer the account to my name. I explained to Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ and to Ε. politely that they wanted the debt to be paid first. I never shouted or refused to do what Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ asked. I went to the Public Power Corporation twice, and they refused to write off the 287 EUR debt. I have a handwritten note from their representative showing the amount.

I refused to pay the 287 EUR, which is my right. I asked Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ to resolve this matter. Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ kept me in the office for three hours, threatening me because I refused to pay a bill that was not mine.
At the end of the “conversation,” Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ asked me to pay 15 EUR for “consultation” hours. I asked for a receipt, and Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ refused to give me one.

On 29 November 2019, I sent Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ copies of two bills of 200 EUR each that I paid for electricity. Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ did not reply to this email.

On 5 February 2020, I went to Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ office because Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ told me to come the day before. Again, the same thing happened—threats and shouting from both Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ and Ε. Π., demanding that I go to the Public Power Corporation to transfer the account to my name. I asked whether the debt was paid off, and Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ refused to answer. It seemed Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ completely ignored what I was saying. I told Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ I would not pay the 287 EUR and showed Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ the two 200 EUR bills I had paid for electricity. Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ ignored this and did not even make a copy.

On 26 February 2020, around 12:30, the electricity to my flat was disconnected again. This time, it was disconnected from the main electricity meter, not the flat’s meter. I asked the Public Power Corporation if they had done this, and they said no. Once again, no one had any reason to disconnect the power except Ε. Π. and Α. Δ., as part of money extortion.

4. Every time I was in Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ office, I was treated like an animal. Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ completely ignored what I said, ignored handwritten notes from the Public Power Corporation, ignored my requests for receipts, and ignored my requests to resolve the 287 EUR issue.

5. Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ does not give any receipts to anyone whatsoever. During all the time I was in Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ office, Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ did not issue a single receipt.

6. Α. ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ, Ε. Π., and Α. Δ. prepared a threatening letter that was delivered delivered to me in November 2019. The content of that letter is a complete and blatant lie.
